FAQ
How Do I Sign Up For a Class?
You can sign up for any of my current yoga classes through the events calendar on the home page. You can also sign up through my linktree account.
What Type of Yoga Do You Teach?
I primarily teach Vinyasa style of yoga, also known as “flow” yoga. Vinyasa is a style of yoga that involves moving from one yoga pose to another linked by deep breathing.
What Should I Bring?
At minimum, you should bring a yoga mat, towel, blanket, etc. to practice on and water. Also consider bringing yoga blocks, yoga straps, a pillow, bolster, etc. for additional support if desired.
Do I Have to Be Flexible?
No. Flexibility is not a prerequisite to engage in yoga. It is through the practice of yoga that the body becomes more flexible. During my classes, I provide modifications for different yoga poses to meet my students’ needs. I also encourage my students to listen to their bodies and self-adjust as needed.
What Should I Wear?
Anything that is non-restrictive, comfortable, and breathable. Be mindful that yoga classes may involve bending, so clothing that will allow you to bend and stretch with ease are important. Footwear is not required.
Will I Be “Fixed” or Adjusted During a Yoga Class?
The only time I will “correct” a student is if they may be at risk of injuring themselves. To respect the boundaries of my students, I avoid physical contact and instead provide verbal instruction and demonstration. My main focus is to support my students in finding what feels right for their bodies in a particular yoga pose.
